2024 Week 6 Newsletter - Term 2
Important Notes and Date Claimers For This Week
- Junior Jumps - Friday 24th May. Field Events Day for Prep - 8 Year olds. The day commences at 8:50am with the students participating in activities that develop the skills used in Upper School Athletics Events: Obstacle Throw, Shot Put, High Jump and Long Jump as well as a Scooter Board Relay. The morning will conclude with the Prep Sprint at approx 10:30am.
All students will need: sunscreen applied, school hat and a water bottle. Their sports uniform or school uniform should be worn on the day.
- Senior Jumps - Tuesday 28th May. Field Events Day for 9 - 12 Year olds. This event involves all students from 9 - 12 year old students. It is an all day event that occurs in the Star of the Sea School grounds with students rotating in their age groups around a series of events: Long Jump, High Jump, Discus and Shot Put.
- Athletics Carnival - Friday 31st May, to be held at Chanel College. All running events for students in Year 1 to Year 6. Prep students do not attend this Carnival. Please note the school Tuckshop will be closed on Friday 31st May. Please read the flyer below for more information.
- A reminder that our School Photos have been postponed to Tuesday 9th July. More information will be forwarded in the coming weeks.
- We are entering the next stage of our garden project. Start collecting items such as these: Natural wood logs ( 60cm-90cm long); Natural wood slices ( 10cm-15 cm height); stones; shells ; pinecones; gumnuts; sticks ( different lengths and thickness); hay bales.
