2025 Student Information Form
As we prepare for our 2025 Class arrangements we invite you to notify us of any important information that should be considered for our class composition by completing a 2025 Student Information Form.
These forms are available from the school office and are designed for parents to formally communicate any important information in relation to their own child, for class placements in 2025 in regards to social, emotional, physical or learning concerns.
Please be aware that these forms are not to request a specific class, nor teacher, but rather to inform the Principal formally of any relevant concerns that pertain directly to your child.
All information included in the 2025 Student Information Form will be treated confidentially. As always, requests will be considered by the Principal but, as you are aware, many factors are well-considered when forming classes, and teachers’ professional judgement is vital in this process also.
Please also know that classroom teachers are not the only professionals involved in finalising classes for the following year. Teachers also meet with Learning Support staff and the Leadership team to finalise these lists.
Please do not put requests to teachers directly. Only those submissions made to the Principal will be formally considered.
2025 Student Information Forms must be returned to school in an envelope addressed to the Acting Principal no later than Friday 1st November.
Departing Families
At this stage of the year, work and personal circumstances sometimes mean that we have families moving from Star of the Sea. If you have not already done so, please send us an email or a note to let us know. This allows us to make accurate preparations for 2025. It also allows other families on our waiting lists for certain year levels to be considered for a place with us next year.
We hope you can join us for our End of Year Mass so that we can pray a special blessing for you and your family.

Cricket News
Last term, Star of the Sea entered 2 teams in the Cricket Blast competition in Gladstone against many local schools. Both the girl’s team and the boy’s team were victorious on the day winning both their competitions and were then invited to play in the next round of competition being the CQ Finals held in Rockhampton.
Monday 14th October the 2 teams travelled to Rockhampton and competed against teams from Yeppoon, Moura, Springsure and Biloela. The boys came through the day undefeated with the spectacular batting, hitting many boundary shots, fast paced bowling and keen eyes for catching their opponents out, not to mention the few wickets taken.
The girls had a lot of fun and a great day finishing 4th. Many memorable moments were had by both teams and the sportsmanship displayed made them wonderful ambassadors for our school. Massive thanks goes to Mrs Blake for the endless hours she spends on organsing these events and to the parents for their support in being able to transport the children to these sporting opportunities and in assisting on the day in many ways.

Have you downloaded our new App yet?
We already have way over half our parent community who've downloaded our new mobile App.
The App, Parent Orbit, which is connected to Parent Lounge, will improve our communication with each other as it offers a quick and easy way to receive notifications, add Student Absences, view and pay School Fees, accept or decline excursions via the Events and Activities, check the school calendar, update details and permissions and much more.
Some of you may already be using the Parent Orbit App for Chanel College and you will simply add Star of the Sea as another school you can access.
The App uses your Parent Lounge log in to access and will be a great way to access Parent Lounge features as you will not have to log in every time.
To download the App to your mobile device you can click on the link https://parentorbit.page.link/sosg or visit your APP store.
Most of our Term Dates for the rest of the year are already installed on the App so it really is a good resource for you.
